Aldeia's focus is on environmental stewardship, true sustainability, wellness, cutting edge technology, and authentic community. Projects are designed and developed from the ground up around people, not the automobile as is the norm with conventional development practices. Aldeia utilizes energy-efficient systems including rainwater storage/re-use, natural water biofiltration, sustainable, healthy and recycled / rapidly-renewable building materials as well as renewable energy sources. Vegetable oil, solar energy, wind and geothermal resources are used in lieu of fossil fuels, with the intent of reducing our national trade deficit, supporting the local economy, improving air quality and enhancing our National Energy Security.

Aldeia LLC is proud to present it’s award-winning, flagship project Independence Station - located near Salem, Oregon. Awarded the “Spirit of the West Award” for the best mixed-use green building by BUILDERnews Magazine, Independence Station is an extraordinary 57,000 square foot mixed-use, high performance building that is powered by 100% renewable energy, primarily vegetable oil and the sun. Residents, business owners and visitors alike will experience what an intelligent sustainable building can really be.

Awarded Idaho Smart Growth's “Grow Smart” Award for best mixed-use project and participating in the coveted USGBC LEED-ND (Neighborhood Development) Pilot Program, Aldeia at Water's Edge, is located near Boise, Idaho. Water’s Edge is a 68-acre “retrofuturism” themed community that will be comprised of a wide range of housing choices and price points, including single-family homes with front porches and alley access. Planned amenities will include an 1800's reproduction country church as a centerpiece in the town square, authentic YMCA, charter school, lake, retail stores, restaurants, daycare, offices, branch library, branch post office, latest Fiberoptics To The home (FTTH) technology and much more.
